WHAT IS A "BABY VAMPIRE" FACIAL?
Many years ago, Kim Kardashian made the original "Vampire Facial" famous by sharing photos of her experience online. At The PRP Center, we have created a less invasive version of this treatment that we like to call the "Baby Vampire Facial".
Rather than using a deep microneedle setting (which creates the bloodied effect the "Vampire Facial" gets its name from), we use a microneedling technique that penetrates your skin just enough to introduce the PRP (the part of your blood that contains beneficial growth factors). This less invasive technique significantly reduces pain and downtime. Studies show it is not necessary to penetrate the skin as deep as the original Vampire facial in order to experience the benefits of your Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP).

At The PRP Center, we use Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) + Microneedling to combat aging in the face, as well as reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks. PRP is a non-surgical, natural treatment that uses your body's own platelets to stimulate collagen growth and reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It's a safe and effective way to rejuvenate the face or reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks without the need for surgery.

Because PRP uses your own blood by concentrating the platelets/plasma, it is considered a natural and safe treatment. This is also why we prefer not to apply chemicals such as lidocaine to the skin, as lidocaine is absorbed systemically and can also restrict bloodflow to the skin. Our 20-minute treatment makes it easy for you to fit appointments into your busy day, and unlike surgical facial treatments, PRP + Microneedling requires very little downtime. You can return to your regular activities soon after treatment (typically within 24-48 hours). The treatment does not require any medications or sedatives.
WHO PERFORMS THE TREATMENT?
ALL treatments at The PRP Center are performed by board certified physicians and physician assistants who are highly-trained and specially certified in PRP injections/treatment. We are a medical practice, not a medspa. After an initial consultation to review your basic medical history, our providers will discuss your goals for treatment and come up with a plan that works for your unique needs.
NUMBER OF TREATMENTS
For best results, a series of 3-4 PRP + Microneedling treatments is recommended (spaced one month apart), as well as maintenance treatments 1-2 times per year as desired by the patient. PRP + Microneedling is equally as common among male patients as it is our female patients, and makes a great add-on if you are already coming to our clinic for hair PRP (we can use a portion of your PRP for both hair and face in one visit).
